Earlier this week Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty had a SPOOKY Halloween themed quarterly meeting. Our agents gathered at the Nevada County Association of Realtors to discuss Nevada County Real Estate market events and trends. There was a delicious French toast buffet, frittatas, and coffee bar catered by local bakery and deli Summer Thyme’s Bakery. Realtors and staff participated in a Halloween Hat contest, and the staff made little pumpkins stuffed with candy to give away to attendees.

As soon as the Realtors were settled, it was time to start the meeting. Managing broker and co-owner Diann Patton discussed updates to C.A.R. forms and updates to real estate procedures. With so many new forms and changes to procedures, it’s important that our Coldwell Banker Realtors are up-to-date. Towards the end of her presentation, she decided to try on one of the hats in the contest, which immediately covered her head. You can see this funny picture on our Facebook page. We at Coldwell Banker sure know how to have fun!  Marketing and I.T. Manager Chad Lyon talked with the agents about the importance of marketing on Facebook. “This is something that everyone in the office can use” he told the agents. Coldwell Banker also had the pleasure of hosting Shelley and Wendy of Nevada County Mortgage and Matt Davis of Wells Fargo. They did a great presentation on mortgages and loan services called “The Devil is in the Details”. Rick Dejesus, co-owner and managing broker went over the stats with the agents. He discussed how the Nevada County home inventory is still low. “It’s definitely a seller’s market out there. Buyers are going into houses and making offers the second they walk out the front door.” He was happy to report, though, that prices were increasing steadily from the post-crash prices.coldwell-banker-agents

Once all the presentations were done, Realtors and staff members who participated in the Halloween Hat contest grabbed their hats and headed to the stage. Although there were many great hats, Coldwell Banker office manager Sandy Sindt won with her haunted house for sale hat.

Coldwell Banker also tries to take some time out at every meeting to applaud our Realtors and staff members. Noel White received kudos for his presentation on the CBA website to the Rooters a week ago.  He received not only thanks from all the Realtors and staff, but also wine and thank you cards from all four Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty offices. Office manager Sandy Sindt also took a few minutes to thank managing brokers Rick DeJesus and Diann Patton.
