About Hillary Beckett
Real Estate Professional | Passionate About Sustainable Living
Sierra Nevada real estate has been a part of my life from the very beginning. Born in Truckee, the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range has always had my heart. With a mother who was an architect and REALTOR® and a father who was a contractor, I was immersed in design, construction, and property development from a young age. Through watching my mom sketch floor plans and witnessing my dad bring the beautiful homes to life, I gained a deep understanding of the industry that has helped to influence and inspire my path.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts from UC San Diego, I joined FortuneBuilders, a premier real estate education company, where I spent 9 years and headed the Media Department. During that time, we earned a spot on the Inc. 500 list and were recognized as the #1 real estate education company in the country. This experience not only solidified my passion for real estate but also gave me valuable insights into the strategies and tools that drive success in the industry.
I then turned my focus to hands-on experience, renovating multiple homes and restaurants across Sonoma County and the Lake Tahoe area. These projects allowed me to apply my expertise in design, construction, and property management, and to understand firsthand what makes a property truly shine. Whether it’s residential or commercial, I have a knack for maximizing a property’s potential and would love to help you maximize yours!
Currently, I am working on an exciting and transformative project: developing a 185-acre parcel in Nevada County. This property is being transformed into an off-the-grid homestead and will eventually house an eco-village. The site will also include a community gathering space for workshops and events, designed to foster sustainability, collaboration, healing and connection. This project reflects my commitment to forward-thinking, environmentally conscious development and a deeper connection to the land and community.
I am especially passionate about alternative housing solutions—particularly building with the land. Whether it’s Earthship, tiny, or straw bale homes or other sustainable, off-the-grid building methods, I’m dedicated to promoting environmentally responsible and innovative housing options that not only reduce our ecological footprint but also create healthier, more self-sufficient living spaces.
I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions—I’m here to offer real estate guidance and support in any way I can.
