Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty (CBGRR) welcomes JoAnna Rakestraw to their office at 855 Sutton Way in Grass Valley.

JoAnna is no stranger to CBGRR.  For the last three years she has had the role of Personal Assistant and Real Estate Assistant teaming up with one of our prized Sales Associates, Debbie St. John.  She absorbed all that she was taught and eventually Debbie encouraged her to get her real estate license, which she did.  JoAnna was ready for a new role, new responsibilities and has the confidence of her self-promotion.  “Choosing CBGRR was an easy decision for me because I had already had experience with them through Debbie.  They have a great reputation and a fantastic training program.  Every time I have walked into the office, I am met with a friendly welcome and it just feels right.”

JoAnna has proven her skills to prioritize client’s needs, scheduling appointments, monitoring vendors, staging homes and has hosted several successful Open House events.  She understands the psychology of selling or buying a home and making sound financial decisions.

JoAnna will guide her clients through the many complex decisions packed full of real estate terminology, all of which are new territory for most buyers and sellers.  She is a strong communicator and will keep her clients informed and keep stress levels low.

Growing up in the Chico area, JoAnna’s father was in construction.  Often her family would be on the job to help her father and after many years, she and her siblings learned a lot about house repair, which benefits her to this day.  JoAnna comes to CBGRR as she winds down her career as Preschool Director and teacher at Alta Sierra Elementary.  “I am excited to put my all into this new career, not only for myself, but for my whole family.  I want the chance to have people trust me in their new chapter of life.  I can’t wait to get started!”  JoAnna loves to spend time with family boating on Rollins Lake, hiking and riding horses on her mother’s ranch.
